Fall 2012 Trip

What: DDT Trip to Djabal and Goz Amer refugee camps

When: November 12 - December 2, 2012

Members of the Darfur Dream Team, from the Enough Project and i-ACT, visited Djabal and Goz Amer refugee camps from November 10-December 2, 2012. We met with students, teachers, parents, and UNHCR and JRS field staff to assess the impact that DDT is having on education in the camps. Additionally, we gathered stories and took photos and footage of how DDT funds have been implemented in Goz Amer refugee camps. We also discussed our future plans for providing continued support in both Djabal and Goz Amer. Finally, we trained more students in Djabal and Goz Amer to use the CommKit to exchange photos and messages with their American friends.  Visit the Fall 2012 Trip page to learn about opportunities students had to connect with their Darfuri peers.
