Learn more about refugees by watching one of the films on this list we've compiled. After viewing, share your review and recommendations with us and your friends on Facebook!
TIP: All of the movies we recommend are available on Netflix, Snagfilms, and Hulu.
Unlock a Blue Key

Support USA for UNHCR's Blue Key Campaign - By just making a $5 donation to USA for UNHCR, you'll join the Blue Key community, a growing group of Americans standing up for refugees.
TIP: Keep a jar for your spare change and send your contribution at the end of the challenge. All of those quarters add up!
Raise Money for DDT

Donate to the Darfur Dream Team online or by sending us a check at 1225 Eye Street NW, Suite 307, Washington D.C. 20005. You can make a one-time donation online or set up a donation page for your school or group.
TIP: Pressed for money this summer? Encourage someone else to make a donation to DDT and you can still claim this badge!
Write a Letter to the Editor

Write and send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. Suggested topics include: the global refugee crisis, how you got involved in refugee issues, how people can support refugees in your community, advertising your Summer Service Challenge event, etc.
TIP: Whether you get published or not, you can still claim this badge after you've sent in your letter to the editor.
Read a Book about Refugees

We've compiled a list of our favorite books, which tell a range of heart-warming, tragic, and compelling stories about refugees. Read one of our suggested books this summer.
BONUS: Share your review and recommendations of the book on Darfur Dream Team's Facebook page and on Twitter (Don't forget the hashtag #SSCrefugee).
Host or Attend an Event

Attend a World Refugee Day event in your area. Can't make it to a World Refugee Day event? Host your own refugee related event! Start a book club with one of our suggested readings, organize a screening or host a movie night featuring one of the documentaries or films listed here, invite a refugee to speak to your group, etc. The options are limitless!
TIP: Take lots of photos at the event you attend/host and make sure to submit one of the photos for the "Upload a Photo" badge detailed below.
Volunteer with a Refugee Organization

Volunteer at a local refugee-related organization in your area. Here are a list of organizations you may want to volunteer with.
BONUS: Take a photo of yourself volunteering and earn the highly-prized Photo Badge after you upload it!
Start a Dialogue

You'll be taking in a lot this summer, and you'll get the most of all of your experiences if you tell others about them. Call up a family member, an old friend or your favorite teacher and tell them what you have learned about what it means to be a refugee.
BONUS: Send the person you talked to a link to your Summer Service Challenge page so that they can track your progress this summer!
Upload a Photo

Upload a photo of yourself or your group either at refugee-related event or participating in one of the challenges listed above.
BONUS: Share your photo on our Facebook page!
